This is a really great coffee shop, and it has an amazing atmosphere. They have all this this artwork all over the walls, which is for sale, from local artists, I assume. We really enjoyed our drinks too, and the barista was very nice. Everything was so colorful in there, and they have a lot if board games.

My favorite little eclectic coffee shop. Funky art adorns the walls, various seating options for work, chatting or just relaxing. Knowledgeable staff creates the best coffee concoctions with chess-themed names. Bonus: chess, open mic and art classes are offered throughout the week.

i went for the open mic, hosted by Romey and the baristas Lukas and Maddy were soooo nice and awesome! im so happy i came here ahhh!!! would so recommend everyone come here and bring yr creativity :))

The Rook Cafe has the best coffee I've ever had (and I am a coffee lover, this is saying something). The Rook is really special - not just the amazing coffee, but the whole vibe. The walls are filled with original art pieces that you can enjoy for free or buy and take home. There are books and board games. You can play games with friends and loved ones and drink coffee - an excellent way to pass an afternoon or evening. The cool chairs and varied seating options are so comfortable and lovely. Perfect for curling up in to read a book with a coffee in hand! The staff is unfailingly courteous and fun. This is, literally, one of my very favorite spots on planet Earth!

Great specialty lattes and flavor options!! Fun space with lots of free games and a fun event every week. Will come back!

I mean, where else are you gonna find a place to play chess, cool funky games board I've never heard of & lounge in comfortable chairs in a "this is a converted little old something store or house" cafe!? Not too loud not too quiet I might have to lower my rating once I try something other than espresso, like the delicious sounding concoctions.

I ordered the Doctor and thoroughly enjoyed it, iced. The hazelnut was the perfect amount. My wife ordered the holy grail and enjoyed hers as well. There are plenty of interesting pieces of art on the wall available for purchase by local artists. Also, several bookshelves are lined with books and board games for customers to enjoy.
